I JUST CAN’T WAIT UNTIL I GET MY 1ST ELECTRIC CAR!
ELECTRIC VEHICLES CARBON FOOTPRINT
MASSIVE and REDICULIOUS Total fuel consumption of U.S. airlines is approximately 19 billion gallons annually. Total fuel consumption for mining Ore for construction of electric car batteries is approximately 21 billion gallons annually. The 21 billion gallons of fuel burned can only produce enough Ore to build 250,000 electric car batteries. The lifespan of an electric battery is 10 years and is not renewable. By 2050 these batteries will fill landfills with 50 million pounds of waste that does not break down. I wonder if people would still believe in electric power cars, vehicles or equipment if they knew how massive the carbon emissions footprint really was? 
Maybe this is a great concept for England and most European countries, but certainly not for AUSTRALIA. However, let us compare say Australia to Switzerland: Switzerland: 41, 227 Sq Km – Australia: 7,741,220 Sq Km In Switzerland has 27 Cantons (States) – Australia: 6 States + 2 Territories. Therefore, in Switzerland, travel by E Vehicles is widely acceptable! Whereas, Australia driving an e Vehicle from Canberra to Sydney would need two (2) Recharges!
- One en route and One to complete your drive in Sydney CBD.
- Just imagine the mass queues in Sydney on any given day to recharge your E Vehicle.
- Then you have the return journey and time wasting waiting in queues along the Federal Highway!
- E Trucks would ‘gobble up’ much of the ‘solar/ wind grid/ renewable energy!’
- therefore, enjoy your cold night huddled inside you E Car waiting for the sun to shine/ wind farms to turn!
- It’sovercast, raining – there goes your ‘solar’ and wind turbines shut down because winds are higher than 98 km per hour!
- STUCK and only 100kms to go and body odour is ripe – whose turn to walk the family pet?
Australia is VAST in comparison to Switzerland where Cities/ Towns are ‘MUCH CLOSER.’ So crank up the old ‘coal fire power stations’ to pump electricity to the recharge stations! OR Australia grow some ‘gonads’ and go Nuclear – we have a stack in the ground that other nations use for their E Vehicles, Homes, Businesses, Factories etc etc. E Vehicles great for small countries of ‘short journeys!’ BUT Australia – NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! …could you imagine Darwin to Adelaide – NAAAAAAAAAAAA! OR driving the Nullarbor Perth to Adelaide – NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA me neither! Just recall what happened in South Australia a few years ago after the State Government closed ‘all’ Coal Fired Power Stations’ and relied on RENEWABLE ENERGY! Rained for 3 or 4 days/ overcast – SOLAR CLOSED! Wind too high/ above 98 km per hour – CLOSED! Hello, Victoria and NSW – may we have some power, pretty please? Australia is 38 times bigger than NZ! Australia is 32 times bigger than UK! It is not hard to work out – Australia MUST be progressive!
